Enchanting Disenchantment

Disenchanting is the process that enables you to obtain various magical substances from itms that already possess magical properties. As always there is a downside to this…the item is destroyed in the process, so you have to be a little careful before you press the disenchant button, or you could end up destroying your favourite axe or the clothing you have been saving for when you reach your next level. Don’t be fooled, I can almost guarantee you that EVERY Enchanter has done that at some time during their levelling, so don’t feel too bad when you do it too.

As you rise up the levels of experience, you will be able to disenchant higher level equipment and objects and therefore obtain better level materials (or MATS) and therefore place higher level enchantments on other equipment.

As with most things in WoW, you need to keep a balance as you progress. By this I mean that you need to have a certain level in your profession to be able to work certain enchantments, a certain level in your skill to be able to get the Mats for those enchantments and sometimes a certain character level to be able to proceed. It is therefore important that you keep these levels reasonably balanced as you progress so that all things become possible for you at the right time
